Gears of War E-Day – 15 NEW Details You Need To Know Before You PRE-ORDER

I’ll admit to being skeptical when it was first announced, but after the latest Xbox Games Showcase, there’s no two ways about it – Gears of War: E-Day looks fantastic (thanks to Unreal Engine 5 and insane destruction tech on showcase). It’s out on October 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with pre-orders now available. And yes, you read that right – no PS5 version. XBOX is pivoting back to console exclusives, at least on a case-by-case basis.

But that’s a discussion for another time. For now, here’s what you should know before pre-ordering E-Day, starting with one of the more surprising reveals.

  1. I will not be buying any game that is optimized for the Xbox series x and PC until the new Xbox Helix comes out once they launch that console then I'll start buying Xbox games again I'm not buying games that you can't update

  2. It's not going to run on the Series S either. It's a 300gb download as of now and I think the series S can handle about 280 gigs or something like that.

  3. Tell you people don't use common sense.Does game that in exclusive? You'll get in steam or on p.C Xbox is still losing, doesn't matter?Stop renting your games and start buying your game.Or you will kill the xbox brand

  4. Making Gears of War E-day a Xbox exclusive Was not a smart move. Though making it exclusive will add value to the Xbox console itself. What did they think This one exclusive was going to gain them?

Xbox does not have the consistency in their first party lineup to move PlayStation owners to set aside their PS5’s and buy into the Xbox ecosystem. However, plenty of people who have PS5’s Would have bought Gears of War E-day if it was available on PS five. If only for the novelty.

This was not the right move if they wanted to try to salvage this generation. Because they have absolutely no chance of catching up with PS5. And instead of marketing their games so at least they have the chance to get in front of as many players as possible. they’re basically neutering the game in terms of sales and The Coalition as a whole. On the off chance that people will be desperate enough to set aside a small fortune just to play their one game.

I mean, if I was a member of this dev team, I would be fucking pissed. Not to mention the fact that just about every single game of significance they announced after it will be available on PS5. Including the new Senua game. This feels incredibly shortsighted. Why was this game significant? Why was it chosen to stand alone?

    What a waste.

  5. Introducing Gears E-Day: we’re going back to the beginning… except for the part that actually made the beginning good. Remember Gears 1? Remember having to lead your shots, predict movement, think ahead, and actually earn kills off-host? Yeah, we got rid of that. Don’t worry though, we added better graphics, new animations, smoother movement, bigger explosions, darker lighting, louder trailers, and probably twelve new ways to slide into a wall before instantly aiming dead center like every other shooter on earth. Remember when being good at Gears meant you could beat a host? Remember when nobody respected host warriors? Remember when a montage full of host clips meant everyone thought you were trash? Great news: we fixed that by making everyone host. Now every player gets the training-wheel experience the original community used to clown on. Because who needs anticipation when you can just point directly at someone and pretend that’s the same skill gap? Who needs the mechanic that pulled real players away from Halo when you can add more polish to the corpse and call it a return to form? This is the new Gears formula: take out the soul, add more shine, tell everyone it’s “classic,” and hope nobody remembers why Gears 1 never died. If E-Day really wants to go back to the beginning, bring back leading shots. Bring back the part that made the game scary. Bring back the reason people cared.

  6. Okay. Now that we know all of this i have only one question.
Will you people at gamingbolt continue with the gears of war timeline serie or not?
I am still waiting for part 2 of that series and the rest by the way. You people did a really good job with the metal gear franchise.
Hope you will do the same with gears of war franchise as well. GOOD LUCK.

  7. Smh this looks like it's on 360. Extremely basic, with so many 3rd person shooters that came out before this that had some innovation they did nothing here.
